INSURANCE FOR HISTORIC MOTORING CLUBS

Finding an appropriate insurance broker can be difficult and confusing. Often
NSWHMA is approached by our member clubs for advice on insurance.


We at the NSWHMA are not qualified to advise on Insurance but we can pass on the
details of an insurance broker who is easy to deal with - A J Gallagher. However, we
urge you to discuss your requirements with them to ensure that the product/s you
choose meet the needs of your particular situation.


Three classes of Insurance for clubs are offered under their "Historic Motoring Clubs
Insurance Scheme". Costs will relate to the size of the club. A small discount is
available to member clubs of NSWHMA if mention is made at time of
enquiry. Gallagher will confirm membership.


1. General Liability Insurance - General Public Liability for clubs.     
2. Management Liability Insurance.
3. Personal Accident & Sickness Insurance.


Points to note:- 

  1. General Liability Insurance provides Public Liability Insurance for clubs. It is recommended all clubs have Public Liability insurance.
  2. Management Liability may be required to cover persons who have the responsibility for funds, or Responsible Persons/Registrars/Inspectors who sign off the roadworthiness of vehicles on Declaration forms.

           Personal Accident & Sickness Insurance covers volunteers etc.
