Changing Clubs

Changing Primary Club for HVS and CVS registrations.

There are two considerations:
1. If you change at time of renewal.
2. If you change club mid-term.

Implementation:
1. At renewal, simply enter the new club name in the Club Name box on the Declaration
forms 1259 or 1835. Service NSW will record the new details from the form (there is no
carry over from the previous year).

2. If you change mid-term, you are required to submit to Service NSW a new declaration
form 1259 (HVS) or 1835 (CVS) fully signed and stamped (including by the CVS office in the
latter case). Also take in your 60-day logbook.

You must also submit a completed "Change of Records" form 1021.

This will result in:

  • Reissue of the Certificate of Approved Operations showing the new club name.
  • Amendment of the 60-day logbook showing the new club name.

Notes:
1. For HVS (form 1259) the new club must be on the Transport for NSW "List of Recognised Clubs".

2. For CVS (form 1835) the new club must be a member of NSW Historic Motoring Association or
another Approved Organisation.

3. Although the forms say "Enter Primary Club First", no record of any other club is made by Service NSW, so there is little point in adding it.

CVS vehicles only:

NSWHMA needs to know about the change to update their CVS records.
Please send a brief note advising the change with owner’s name, vehicle registration
number and new club name. Email to nswhmacvs@gmail.com.
The new primary club must be a member of NSWHMA to continue your access to CVS via NSWHMA.
Otherwise, the new primary club would have to be affiliated with another Approved
Organisation who should be advised of the change.
